Cowo & Crèche Kids is a Christian childcare and preschool program in Alexandria, VA, serving children ages 16 months–5 years. We provide faith-based early education that blends biblical values, play-based learning, early literacy, STEM activities, and character development rooted in the Fruit of the Spirit.

We offer two age-appropriate programs:

Little Lights (Toddlers) — 16 months to 2.5 years

• Social-emotional development & early language

• Gentle structure, sensory play, music, Bible stories

• 1:6 Teacher-to-child ratio

Brave Believers (Preschool) — 2.5 to 5 years

• Pre-literacy, early math, STEM, phonics, art

• Kindergarten readiness + Christian character building

• 1:8 Teacher-to-child ratio

No. All families are welcome — Christian or not.

We are a Christ-centered program, and children participate in:

• Prayer and worship

• Bible stories

• Fruit of the Spirit character lessons

• Daily encouragement about God’s love

Families simply need to be comfortable with our Christian environment.

Our daily rhythm includes:

• Arrival & morning prayer

• Circle time, Bible stories, and worship songs

• Play-based learning & age-appropriate academics

• Outdoor play and movement

• Lunch with prayer

• Rest time + quiet activities

• Afternoon learning centers + character lessons

• Closing prayer

Every day is filled with faith, play, learning, and love.

• Toddlers: No. We assist with diapering and potty introduction.

• Preschool: Potty-trained or actively training is preferred. Accidents are normal and handled with grace.

We are a religiously exempt childcare program in Virginia, operated by Faith & Valor Ministries. This status allows us to integrate Christian teaching throughout our curriculum while maintaining strong safety practices.

We uphold:

• Background checks for all staff

• CPR & Pediatric First Aid training

• Safe ratios (1:6 and 1:8)

• Health & fire safety standards

• Secure check-in and check-out

Every teacher:

For the safety of all children, please keep your child home if they have:

• Fever (100°F+)

• Vomiting or diarrhea

• Contagious illness

• Persistent cough or heavy nasal discharge

• Pink eye or rash of unknown cause

Children may return once symptom-free for 24 hours without medication.
